Cleared, flushed and checked before the rain
Southern California gets most of its rain in a handful of storms, which is exactly the wrong pattern for a blocked gutter. A season of leaves, shingle grit and blown debris packs down into a solid mass, and the first real downpour puts that water over the edge — down the stucco, into the fascia, and against the foundation. We clear gutters and downspouts by hand, bag the debris rather than flushing it into the drains, then run water through the whole system to prove it actually flows.

Set Up Safely
Ladders are footed and stood off the gutter itself, so the run does not get bent while it is being cleared.
Clear by Hand
Debris is lifted out and bagged rather than blown onto the roof, the planting, or into the storm drain.
Flush & Prove It
Water is run through the full length and every downspout, so a blockage further down cannot hide.
